Some examples of Moving Fraud
- deliberately low-balling an estimate to later ask for more money (bait & switch)
- withholding customer belongings unless they pay significantly more than the quoted price
DON’T USE THEM THEY WILL BAIT AND SWITCH AND LIE AND BULLY. THEY ARE MEAN AND HAVE NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. ESPECIALLY THE ONE WHO CALLS HIMSELF BRUCE. We (my daughter and I) were quoted a price of $650. I was the one who they were to deal with. I asked would this be the set price. I was told yes. Nothing was stated about inside or outside delivery. Then on the day before delivery they call us with a price of $1000. I told them we could not afford the new price and what we had agreed upon. Bruce continued to try to bully me into this new price. When I would not agree. He called my daughter and got her to agree even though I was the one he was to deal with. I told them we would not agree to this. When I called back and talked to a manager about the situation, I was told we would receive a refund of our deposit of $150. Later the same day another company called about picking up the car. I thought it was one of the many companies I had gotten a quote from and agreed to them delivering the car for $750. Today I called Broadway Auto transport about the refund that we were promised, and I find out that the company that picked up our car was sent by them without our knowledge of this company working with/for Broadway Auto Transport. My daughter had to borrow the money to have the full payment to pay for her car to get delivered and she was going to pay the person back after she got her refund. So, we are now out of $150 that we spent because this company lied!! But we were tricked/lied to by this company. DON’T USE THEM THEY WILL BAIT AND SWITCH AND LIE AND BULLY.
