Some examples of Moving Fraud
- deliberately low-balling an estimate to later ask for more money (bait & switch)
- withholding customer belongings unless they pay significantly more than the quoted price
they got the job done but a few issues. Price reasonable. Driver was suppose to pick up at my residence on Monday , he rescheduled for Tuesday, called Tuesday wasn’t coming until 8 am on Wednesday, didn’t show up until after 11 am, his delay for days messed up our schedule for the week. Driver took off $300 for being days late and Avo tried adding that money to their portion of our bill, why should they make $300 extra, we were the ones inconvenienced. Driver unloading the cars dropped my personal car off the ramp making it fall between the ramps, only minor damage but he admitted he was tired. He felt really bad. Avo called me constantly, way too many times. I had to pay by cc because I couldn’t get my venmo to work, my error and they did tell me they charged 7% cc processing fee which is way too high, when paying by cc I was also charge an extra 3% they could not tell me why, 10% cc processing fee, not sure if that is even legal. Would not use them again.
