1. This was not a good experience. I read reviews carefully of at least 10 auto shippers before selecting Leader. Most of them had bad reviews with negative comments about things like overcharges, delays, couldn’t find a driver, pick up was late, delivery was late and so on. Leader Auto Ship had the best reviews. In fact many of them were quite glowing. My beef was the shocker of the escalated price from the quoted price, which seemed in the middle of the going rates for my car and distance. Then, 3 days before pick up and I am in the midst of packing, I got a call that they could not find a driver to do it for that price. The original quote was $900 and change which now jumps to a whopping $1,550. Plus I was pressured to hurry up and decide because they had to secure the driver. Well of course in the 3 days before my move, I did not have time to find someone else at the last minute, at least a company that would have a fair rate. They would not honor the original quote or even split the difference as I requested. So I coughed up the extra money and had it shipped by Leader.
   Additionally, they could not pick the car up on the date we agreed on but a day later. I explained that I would no longer be in that home as I had to stay near the airport for my flight the next morning. So I had to adjust the pickup place to be done at the hotel rather than my house which was a lot of rigmarole and extra stress to work with the hotel front desk and make arrangements for them to turn over my car fob to the driver whenever he showed up. I would already be on my flight by that time. So in general this was a bad experience and I would never use this company again and I hope I never have to use another shipper.
