Some examples of Moving Fraud
- deliberately low-balling an estimate to later ask for more money (bait & switch)
- withholding customer belongings unless they pay significantly more than the quoted price
They quoted $1200 back in January but after getting the deposit raised the price to $3600 but couldn’t furnish a driver unless I paid the driver direct! Told me they had a driver that would be there the next morning but never showed. After 3 days & many many calls back & forth we were informed the driver had been detained by the DOT but they were working on another driver. After 2 more days of no show wee were told the drivers trailer was broken down but they could get another drive on the way but would need paid cash upon delivery!! We tried to cancel but could not so we had the credit card flag the deposit as fraud and pull the funds. Now it is mid July and Roadway has just placed 2 $300 charges on my card!!! I will dispute these new charges & have the card canceled to avoid them trying their fraud again!

They told me a price of $550 for a shipment and they needed a $210 deposit. As soon as they got the $210 deposit they told me the price went up to $950. Below is the email of me trying to get my refund back after they already said they would
Can you please help me get my deposit of $210 back roadway Carriers bid to pick up my UT for $550 I gave him a deposit then after I gave a deposit they changed the price to $1000. They she said the driver would only do it for $950 I told them I’m not gonna pay the thousand dollars, she said the driver is not responding to her calls. They said they would refund my money and they still haven’t refund my money. I keep texting them and trying to call them and now they ignore my text messages and calls. Can you please help me take care of this so I don’t have to Leave bad reviews on your website and theirs.
