Some examples of Moving Fraud
- deliberately low-balling an estimate to later ask for more money (bait & switch)
- withholding customer belongings unless they pay significantly more than the quoted price
They gave me a price of $700 to ship my car. Then ask for a Deposit of $200. I said fine and ask him to verify that the $200 would be deducted from the total, The person I talked to agreed and said $500 would be due upon delivery. Unfortunately I did not get that if writing. The night before my car was to be delivered I was told that $650 would be due upon delivery. I argued that I was told $500 and that I already paid $200. He said do you have that if writing, you should be happy we got the shipper to lower their fee from $700 to $650. I said I wouldn’t pay it. They said fine they would keep the car in a yard and I would have to pay storage every day it was there. So they ripped me off for $150.00 as I ended up paying a total of $850.00
Rip-Off artist, liar, dishonest – that’s this company. They gave me a price of $850 to ship car. Then, asked for “Deposit” of $200. Spoke with Mike Silver to confirm that I would pay driver $650 upon delivery. Instead, driver insisted on $850 to deliver car!!!!! When I contacted Mike, he outright lied and said Good Luck suing me!
